I got this question during an interview.

This intriguing question originated from Different Types of Pile in chapter Deep Excavations, Pile Foundations and Caisson of Construction & Building Materials

Correct answer is (a) Base driven pile

To explain I would say: Base driven pile consists of a helically welded shell of steel plate. A concrete plug is provided at the bottom of the shell and driving its done by allowing pile Hammer to fall on the concrete plug.
