Assertion (A): Degree of freedom is defined as the number of variables to define motion in the body in space.

Reason (R): Maximum degree of freedom can be six in a robot.

(a) Both A and R are true and R is not correct explanation of A.

(b) Both A and R are true but R is not correct explanation of A.

(c) A is true but R is false

(d) A is false but R is true

This question was posed to me in an interview.

My enquiry is from Robotic Control System in portion Time Response Analysis, Design Specifications and Performance Indices of Control Systems
