I got this question in an international level competition.

My question is based upon Gene Mapping in Bacteria by Transformation topic in section Genomics : The Mapping and Sequencing of Genomes of Cytogenetics

Right choice is (b) False

To elaborate: Incorporation depends on which strand the gene is in. One of the strands gets degraded while entering the bacteria. This is via a specific 5’ or 3’ exonuclease.
