I had been asked this question during an online exam.

My question is taken from DC Motors Characteristics in portion Characteristics of DC & AC Motors of Electric Drives

Correct answer is (d) Shunt and compound motor

Best explanation: The test is practically applicable for machines which have flux constant like the shunt and compound machines as this is a no-load test and DC series motor should not be run at no-load because of high speed.
