My doubt stems from Equalization and Non Coherent Detection in portion Baseband Demodulation and Detection of Digital Communications

Right choice is (a) 1db more

Easy explanation: The DPSK system is easier to implement than PSK and it  needs 1db more Eb/N0 than BPSK.
