How is water dispensed over to the turbine blades?

(a) Trough

(b) Nozzle

(c) Hose

(d) Pump

The question was posed to me during an interview for a job.

I want to ask this question from Feed Water and Steam Generation System, Working of Thermal Power Plant in division Steam Power Plant of Energy Engineering

Correct answer is (b) Nozzle

For explanation I would say: Nozzle is used to dispense the water over to the turbine blades of steam turbine. A nozzle is a duct that increases the velocity of the flowing fluid at the expense of pressure drop. It’s a duct which decreases the velocity of fluid and increases pressure difference.
