Right option is (a) 6h, 12.5 min

Easiest explanation: The flow of water in both directions is used to drive a number of reversible water turbines, each driving an electrical generator. Electric power would thus be generated during two short periods each tidal period of 12h, 25min or once every 6h, 12.5 min.
