Correct answer is (a) (Increase in weight of CaCl2 tube×2×100 / weight of coal sample taken×18)

For explanation I would say: %hydrogen= (weight of hydrogen/weight of coal sample taken) × 100

In ultimate analysis of coal,

%H = (Increase in weight of CaCl2 tube×2×100 / weight of coal sample taken×18).
