In determination of carbon and hydrogen by ultimate analysis, increase in weight of calcium chloride bulb represents ______

I had been asked this question by my school principal while I was bunking the class.

Right choice is (a) weight of water formed

Explanation: The gaseous products of combustion are passed through two bulbs. One containing weighed amount of anhydrous Calcium chloride which absorbs water other containing weighed amount of potassium hydroxide which absorbs carbon dioxide.
