Which of the following is not an enlarging scale?

(a) 2:1

(b) 4:3

(c) 3:5

(d) 6:1

I had been asked this question during an interview for a job.

Enquiry is from Types of Scales in chapter Scales of Engineering Drawing

Right answer is (c) 3:5

For explanation I would say: Enlarging scale means that the drawing is larger than the actual object. Hence the representative fraction will be greater than unity. For reducing scale the representative fraction is less than unity.
