What type of thread is formed on female screw gauge?

(c) Both internal and external

Correct answer is (b) Internal thread

To explain I would say: An internal thread is that which formed on the inside of a workpiece e.g. on female screw gauge or a nut. An external thread is that which formed on the outside of a workpiece e.g on bolts or studs.
