In testing of the true running of spindle taper, what is the position of dial indicator?

(a) Dial indicator is fixed on the base

(b) Dial indicator is placed on the table

Right answer is (d) Dial indicator is fixed on the table

Explanation: For true running of spindle taper test, the test mandrel is placed in the tapered hole of spindle and a dial indicator is fixed on the table and its feeler made to scan the mandrel.
