What is the reading of output when the sample and reference are at same temperature in DTA?

Right option is (b) Zero

Easy explanation: When the sample and the reference material are at the same temperature, the ∆net output of this pair of thermocouples is zero. When a thermal event occurs in the sample, a temperature difference, ∆T, exists between the sample and reference which is detected by the net voltage of the thermocouples.
