In DTA method, the sample temperature was recorded on __________

This question was posed to me in unit test.

I would like to ask this question from Differential Thermal Analysis and Differential Scanning Calorimetry topic in section Thermal Analysis of Solid State Chemistry

Right choice is (b) Cooling

The explanation is: In the differential thermal analysis the sample temperature I recorded on cooling rather than on heating and since the heat effects associated with solidification and crystallization are usually large, they could be detected by this method.
