In access rights byte, if P (Present)=1, then the segment is mapped into

(a) physical memory

(b) virtual memory

(c) no mapping takes place

(d) none of the mentioned

The question was posed to me in homework.

I need to ask this question from Protected Virtual Address Mode (PVAM) -1 in chapter 80286-80287-A Microprocessor with Memory Management and Protection of Microprocessor

The correct answer is (a) physical memory

The best I can explain: If P=1, then the segment is mapped into physical memory.
