Which of the following is chlorine isolated from by oxidation?

I have been asked this question in semester exam.

My question comes from Oxidation Reduction in division General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements of Chemistry – Class 12

The correct choice is (b) Brine

To explain: A common example of extraction of non-metals based on oxidation is the isolation of chlorine from brine as chlorine is abundant in sea water as common salt. The oxidation of brine is carried out via electrolysis.
