Easy explanation: Roundworm infection initially causes vague symptoms of nausea and cough. Later on, anaemia, weakness, muscular pain and fever begins to appear. Eosinophilia also occurs. Intestinal pain and diarrhoea may also occur. If brain and liver are damaged by the juvenile worms, then internal bleeding, pneumonia and peritonitis occur.
