What is the term used to define the additional data that has to be transferred other than the message during communication?

The correct choice is (d) Overhead

To explain I would say: Overhead refers to the additional transmissions that exceed the allowable number of transmissions resulting in a decrease of efficiency and throughput of the entire network. For example, in cooperative sensing, before transmission of information, the sensing information collected by a user has to be forwarded to other secondary users in the network.
