Which of the following is an active cell death process?

(a) Apoptosis

(b) Necrosis

(c) Senescence

(d) Lysis

My question is based upon Apoptosis and Cancer in chapter Cancer Biology & Methods in Cytogenetics of Cytogenetics

The correct answer is (a) Apoptosis

For explanation: Apoptosis is an active and regulated cell death process that occurs in the body. In necrosis the cell membrane is ruptured and so is the case in option c and d.
