What is the scale in the following figure?

(a) 1:2

(b) 1:12

(c) 1:4

(d) 1:7

I got this question during an online interview.

My question is taken from Plane Scales in division Scales of Engineering Drawing

Correct choice is (b) 1:12

To explain I would say: In the figure it is clearly shown that the representative factor is 1/12. Hence the scale is 1:12. The representative fraction is measured as the length of the drawing divided by the actual length of the object.
