Which of the following is not the function of the Golgi apparatus?

(a) Processing and shorting of glycoprotein

(b) Lipid metabolism

(c) Carbohydrate metabolism

(d) Amino acid metabolism

I had been asked this question in exam.

My question comes from Golgi Complex topic in division Cell Structure and Functions of Life Sciences

The correct choice is (d) Amino acid metabolism

To elaborate: Golgi apparatus involves the metabolism of carbohydrates, and lipids, but not of amino acid, so, amino acid metabolism is incorrect. Synthesis of glycolipids and sorting of glycoprotein also takes place in Golgi apparatus.
