Best explanation: Loop current I1 = \(\frac{6}{10}\) = 0.6 A

I2 = \(\frac{12}{14}\) = 0.86 A

VAB = (0.6) (4) + 12 + (0.86) (4)

 = 2.4 + 12 + 3.44

 = 17.84 V.
