Which of the following alcohols is the most reactive towards esterification reaction?

The correct choice is (a) CH3OH

Easiest explanation: Presence of bulky groups reduces the reactivity of alcohols and carboxylic acid towards esterification due to effect of stearic hinderance. Therefore, the tertiary alcohols are least reactive.
