A square pyramid is placed on V.P with square as base on V.P the cutting plane is parallel to V.P, the section will be ______________

I had been asked this question during a job interview.

My question is taken from Sections of  Pyramids topic in portion Section of Solids of Engineering Drawing

Right answer is (c) square

The explanation is: If a pyramid is cut by a plane perpendicular to its axis section gives the base shape or parallel to axis and also parallel to any edge of base then the section formed will be trapezium if the section plane not parallel to edge of base then the section will be triangle.
