(a) triangle

(b) trapezium

(c) rectangle

(d) octagon

This question was addressed to me by my school principal while I was bunking the class.

I would like to ask this question from Sections of  Pyramids topic in chapter Section of Solids of Engineering Drawing

Correct option is (b) trapezium

Easiest explanation: If a pyramid is cut by a plane parallel to axis and also parallel to any edge of base then the section formed will be trapezium if the section plane not parallel to edge of base then the section will be a triangle.
