A pentagon pyramid is placed on V.P with square as base on V.P the cutting plane is perpendicular to H.P and inclined to V.P and the section is cutting not more than 3 edges, the section will be __________

(a) triangle

(b) trapezium

(c) irregular square

(d) irregular pentagon

Correct option is (a) triangle

The best I can explain: : If a pyramid is cut by a plane perpendicular to its axis section gives the base shape or parallel to axis and also parallel to any edge of base then the section formed will be trapezium if the section plane not parallel to edge of base then the section will be a triangle.
