I got this question by my school principal while I was bunking the class.

The origin of the question is Measurement of KLa in chapter Mass Transfer of Bioprocess Engineering

Correct option is (b) OTR<OUR

Easy explanation: Since OUR > OTR, we must modify the bioreactor operation in order to bring them into balance:

• increase N

• use pure O2 rather than air.
